01 — Features

Built to understand what you actually mean.

Most search tools match filenames. Vextore matches meaning — inside images, transcripts, documents, and code.

Search with anything. Find everything.

Type a description, drop in a reference image, paste a video clip, or hum a melody. Vextore searches across every file, in every format, at once.

Every format, one index.

Images, videos, audio, documents, and code, searched through a single unified embedding space.

Search within files.

Find the exact moment in a video, the paragraph in a PDF, the chord progression in a WAV.

Your index stays on your device.

Files are indexed on our secure servers, then the compact searchable index is stored on your device for fast searches.

Parallel processing and smart caching. Queries resolve very fast on millions of files.

Extract the moment, not the file.

Hold Shift and drag across the exact part of a video or audio file, then drop the selection straight into DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, or any editor. No importing whole files, no trimming afterwards.

02 — Playground

Try the real thing, right in your browser.

Same semantic search pipeline as the app. Type a description, drop in a file, or pick an example; and watch it rank hundreds of real files across images, videos, audio, and documents.

This demo searches a fixed library of 243 sample files — the app searches your files. If a query has no close match here, it simply isn't in the sample set. Install Vextore to index your own library and search everything you have. Download Vextore

Why existing tools fall short

Everyone has a search bar. None of them actually find things.

An honest comparison of how today's tools handle the six things that matter when you're hunting for a file.

Privacy — Where your files go

Your files pass through. Your index stays home.

The exact journey every file takes, start to finish. No copies kept, no library held hostage in someone else's cloud.

Step 1 — Upload once

Your files travel encrypted

Files are sent over an encrypted connection to our indexing servers, one time, only from the folders you choose.

Step 2 — Indexed, then gone

Originals are not retained

Indexing turns each file into compact semantic vectors. After indexing, we do not retain your original file contents.

Step 3 — Stored on your device

Your index lives with you

The searchable index is stored on your machine. Every search you run afterwards works from that device-side index.

Full details, including what we store and for how long, are in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Yes, files are uploaded once to our secure servers for indexing. Indexing generates compact semantic embeddings, and the searchable index is then stored on your device. Future searches run from that device-side index. We do not retain your original file contents after indexing.
Spotlight and Windows Search look at filenames and limited metadata. Vextore searches both the filename and what's actually inside the file, so you can describe a photo without knowing its filename, or find a video moment without knowing the timestamp, and still get the right result.
Every search runs against every file in every format at the same time, photos, videos, audio, documents, code, and returns ranked results very fast on a typical laptop. There's no "switch tabs to search a different type" step, and the index is built for scale so speed stays roughly constant as your library grows.
Yes. Vextore extracts semantic representations from video frames, audio spectra, and transcripts. You can search for moments like "the part where she mentions the deadline" or "acoustic guitar intro" and jump straight to the timestamp.
Most common formats work out of the box: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, RAW, MP4, MOV, WAV, MP3, FLAC, PDF, DOCX, plain text, and major code file types. Enterprise formats available on request.
Yes. Monthly plans can be canceled anytime.
Speed — Indexing expectations

How fast does indexing run?

For large libraries, upload speed is usually the main limit. After upload, each file or segment typically needs a short indexing pass, and Vextore processes those jobs in parallel as they arrive.

Upload time by library size

Approximate sustained upload time before the full library is available for indexing.

Library10 Mbps100 Mbps1 Gbit/s10 Gbit/s
1 GB13 min1.3 min8 sec<1 sec
10 GB2.2 hr13 min1.3 min8 sec
100 GB22 hr2.2 hr13 min1.3 min
1 TB9.3 days22 hr2.2 hr13 min

Real upload speed is often lower than advertised speed, especially over Wi-Fi or during long uploads.

What happens with many files

Most individual items need roughly 5-10 seconds of indexing after upload, but larger jobs are processed concurrently.

1 file

Starts immediately. After upload, the indexing pass is usually around 5-10 seconds.

10 files

Small batches are commonly uploaded and processed together, so they do not simply add up one by one.

100 files

Vextore uses parallel upload and indexing batches to keep the library moving as files arrive.

1,000+ files

Upload speed, file size, and selected indexing settings usually matter most.

10,000+ files

Best treated as a background library indexing job that continues as files arrive.
